Presentation: SECAC 2016

On October 20th, I presented a paper entitled “Screen Empire: Perpetual Economies of Power and Information in Tactical Games” on the panel Post-Screen-isms: Visual Culture and Contemporary Art at the annual conference of the Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC).

The paper was well-received, and a lively discussion among panel participants and audience members followed. The full conference program can be found at the following URL: https://secac.memberclicks.net/assets/documents/secac/conference/2016-secac-program.pdf.

Publication: The Art of Final Fantasy XIV

At the end of 2015, I wrote an article for MMOS.com entitled “Eorzea Shines Through: The Art of Final Fantasy XIV.” The article is about Yoshitaka Amano’s artwork in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and other games from the series, and it features galleries of both his work and the work of other artists who have worked on the franchise. I include references to notable other articles on the artists and their work.
